Breaking Up with my Program

Weeks have gone by, and I still haven't heard from program 1. Granted, I also hadn't reached out, even after the phantom cardiologist call. I know I need to tell them I'm done with the program, but I had been waiting to let them know for sure that I wasn't coming back until I knew I was happy with program 2. OK, so I knew I was happy after my first appointment, but still I waited even after I knew. I kinda wanted to see if they'd reach out to me. Obviously, they didn't.

So, yesterday I wrote a message to them on the app so that I had proof that someone saw it.

Topic: Update Care Team: No Longer Continuing

Dear Dr. M and Team, Thank you for the opportunity to take part in the program at PLACE, however I have decided not to continue. After discussing my progress with my PCP, he has referred me to another program in Boston and I will be continuing my journey with NEW PLACE. I feel as though the team there is a better match for me personally.

I signed it, hit send, and checked in every few hours. No one checked it.

Finally, today at 9:28 am, I saw the note: Last viewed by staff Oct 5 at 9:29 am.

We are officially broken up.
